Nora Bannerman Abbott is a seasoned entrepreneur with over forty years of experience and a specialized interest in the development and promotion of indigenous Ghanaian businesses. Nora is the CEO of Sleek Garments Export Limited and has successfully managed several companies such as Sleek Fashion Limited, Sleek Garments Export Limited. She established the Africa Sleek Institute of Creativity and Technology over forty years ago, which has trained hundreds of young women; many of whom have gone on to establish their own businesses in textiles. She was, in 2019, named one of the Top 20 Global Female Business Leaders by the International Financial Corporation and was inducted into the Corporate Ghana Hall of Fame in 2021.

With her rich entrepreneurial and investment exposure, she has served as a consultant for several organizations in the Textiles, Garments, Leather and related industries. Nora’s areas of expertise include Business Management, Export Promotion, Trade Policy Negotiation, Business Development and Export Marketing. Nora established the Sleek Fashion Institute. Nora currently serves as Member of the Governing Board, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, GIPC, Member of the Governing Council, Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), Executive Member, Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and has served as Chairperson, Garments and Textiles Sector, AGI and Member, Advisory Board for the Africa Centre for Economic Transformation (ACET).

A member of Rotary International, she is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Accra-North. Nora holds an ICSADiploma from the Accra Technical University and a Certificate in Modern Methods of Textile Management from the Illinois State University.
